We have now settled in to our ‘war footing’ at the practice. We have adopted very strict social distancing guidelines regarding access of our clients to the New Ferry premises but I must thank every one of you for embracing these changes cheerfully and with understanding.

The community of staff and clients at Parkside really are a wonderful group of people. We have had a busy two days within our new regime and we thank you all for your kind words of support and your patience as we juggle examinations, consultations, tests, xrays and operations.

We are not performing routine procedure such as neutering or dentals (unless there is a dental emergency or an animal in pain), and we are not performing routine vaccinations.

We continue to be open from 9am until 5.30pm for urgent and emergency cases. If you have any worries about your pet please telephone the practice on 0151 644 8918

The reception staff will liaise with either of the vets to decide the best way to obtain the right treatment for your pet. We can offer telephone and video consultations and where it is necessary we will perform physical examinations. We are still performing urgent and emergency surgeries too.
Our staff have been fantastic and we have taken the decision to also be open on a Saturday and Sunday during the day only to allow extra access to veterinary care to our own registered clients who may be worried about their furry friends!
Please be kind to yourselves. We are all stressed and tired but if we stand together our communities will be ours once again!!

Thank you so much for all your help during these troubled times. Best wishes to you all. I would particularly like to thank you Mr Gemmill for your help and also a shout to your receptionist Louise for her lovely words of comfort. You are all doing an amazing job under exceptional circumstances
